The Earth has been warming steadily for 300 years, well before humans could’ve had any impact, and cooled for the past 8 years. As the climate has been steadily warming naturally, independent of human influence, then of course the hottest days are going to be at the end of the record!!! So claiming the hottest days/years being evidence of AGW is a fallacy.

gunslinger19x, You are correct about that except for one thing… scientists (including some at the IPCC) believe that we may be heading for Global Cooling due to the solar cycle. They think we are entering a very low solar cycle where few sunspots will mean Global cooling.

Surprise surprise… CO2 goes up, and little or no warming. The Sun takes a break and it gets cooler…

The Sun drives climate change (and a whole bunch of other stuff) NOT CO2… There is no evidence CO2 does!

Al Gore has done no such thing. People assume that peer reviewed means thousands of scientists have checked over some research and agree with it. This is not the case. Over the last few months the studies that Al Gore used have been revealed as fraudulent. Many of the studies used by the IPCC have now been shown to be incorrect and not peer reviewed.

to follow up on that, if CO2 emissions were the cause of rising temperatures, then the biggest temperature increase should be happening as we speak. it’s not. since 2000-2001 we have been slightly cooling. obviously this is not going to happen for too much longer, seeing as there is an overall warming trend. but the decrease in average temp over the last 9 or 10 years contradicts the CO2 emissions theory. (notice i said theory.)

@ruperthipwell you are right, global warming is a fact. but man made global warming is a fallacy. the earth has NEVER stayed at a constant temperature. NEVER. if it is not cooling, then it is warming. since the last major ice age the earth has had a warming trend, with small rises and drops in annual temperature here and there and one small ice age. global warming is natural. we are producing more CO2 than ever right now, but we are currently in a small cooling phase.

The difference is that Gore is using studies that have been picked apart by thousands of other scientists and found to be pretty sound, while this Lord is just coming up with his own bullshit. There’s too many people out there who think man-made climate change is all some kind of scam so they don’t do anything about it in their life choices (which products to use, how much to use, how many kids to have, etc.).
